Elliot Lake S.A.D.S.

So I went down to sads to get a dog last month. I thought I'd love and take care of one of those poor abandoned creatures.

The dog I finally decided on was a female lab, shepherd cross. I was told by the woman that was working that I couldn't get that one. She Had man issues......the dog......and the woman obviously. I'm 100% serious, all with a straight face.

The lady with "Man Issues" explained that the dog I wanted was abused by a man, that she only liked women, only did well with women. I found it very hard to keep a straight face.....I wonder why? I had to laugh and then leave.

It was then that I noticed the women working that day, and previous days I'd been there. They all seem to have that tell tale "Abused" look to me now.

I guess they couldn't stop their own abuse so they'll save the animals instead.

Only in Elliot Lake.

The Oaks Treatment Centre should be moved.

Someone brought this subject up on a local forum awhile back, of course the narrow minded shot him down. He had some good points though. Does the Oaks really belong in a retirement community? How many of the retiree's use it? How many people from Elliot Lake work there? Is it really a viable source of employment for Elliot Laker's?

Most of the people going through the Oaks are from other cities. There are also a number who decide to stay in Elliot Lake afterwards. The people who are serious about recovery go back to their lives elsewhere, the ones looking for a free ride plant their asses here and live on welfare.

Did you know that upon release from a treatment center you qualify for a start up check from welfare? Yes, $900, plus your first months check of course. No wonder they stay.

Welfare Bums

Where do these people come from? It seems that every few months I see a fresh crop of faces, hanging at the mall, smoking, getting in peoples way, and they're all on welfare.

I thought this was a retirement town? Are all these bums retired on welfare? The town is full of them, where do they come from? I know a lot of people who grew up here, none of the ones I know are on welfare. They have jobs here, and if they don't they move to where they can get work. Many have had to leave, sad, but they did what they had to do.

These other people are a drain on the community, the social workers, the police.

Single Mother Central

I'm having a coffee a Timmie's the other night and over hear a conversation between two young single mothers. They're talking about guys and who wants them, and who they would and wouldn't sleep with, all the partying they do, how great they are, very little mention of the children. They also talk about their workers (Welfare), who's a bitch and who's an asshole, how much they're owed...blah blah blah.

I've got some news for you girls.

1. No guy with anything going for him, and in his right mind wants "you". If one does appear to want you, I can assure you it's only to use you like a blow up doll, that's how you got into the boat you're in now in the first place. A man wanting to use you is not a compliment on your beauty, or how special you are, it's an insult, grow up.

2. Now you have kids, the party is over, grow up.

3. Nobody owes you anything, except for the bum who knocked you up, he owes the kids. Stop sleeping with bums, grow up.

If you must degrade yourself then please pick up some condoms at the health clinic, they're free. Stop bringing innocent kids into the world for welfare to feed.

Elliot Lake (Retarded living at it's best..I mean Retirement Living)

Well....once again the residents of Elliot Lake Ontario Canada have been "screwed" by "Retirement Living", otherwise known as "Retarded Living", the Saviour of said town and people. We don't think that, the residents, only the people who work for them and the people who started the whole thing. They have profited nicely off what the miners built. Recently the town council gave the residents another big bone in the rear by selling off a bunch of property to Retarded Living for a pittance, no tender, no one else had a chance at it, it was destined for Retarded Living. They will build lake front lots and profit nicely off it. Anyway, there seems to be a much renewed interest in mining here again, what with the price of Uranium at an all time high. Mines will open, the land will be developed, and retarded Living will profit.
